Welcome to the Kubuntu team's home on the Ubuntu wiki. The Kubuntu wiki pages were created to provide information in various areas in regards to the Kubuntu operating system and its community. The menu at the top of this page will direct you to the areas that make up the Kubuntu community.

All pages are editable. If you are uncertain about adding a page or editing a page, please contact us prior to making changes. Thank you!

Mission

The Kubuntu Team mission is to lead in the development and advancement of free software as well as to produce the greatest desktop operating system that is:

  • Open
  • Reliable
  • Stable
  • Usable
  • Accessible
  • Attractive
  • Consistent
  • Discoverable

Development

The first and most important task of the Kubuntu Team is developing and maintaining our packages. We do this by:

  • Keeping up to date with the latest releases
  • Triaging and fixing bugs on Launchpad

  • Finding shiny new components we should have
  • Stress-testing the greatest desktop environment ever

  • Discussing and fixing any and all issues
  • Developing new and innovative features

This is all completed due to the amazing contributors of the Kubuntu Team. Each member is unique and special in their own way, and it is this reason that will make Kubuntu the greatest desktop operating system ever!
